Bonjour.Je viens d'essayer de changer de noyau sous woody .Actuellement je suis en 2.4.18 ,j'ai recupere et installe un paquet kernel-image-2.4.20-1-386 qui est normalement la bonne version (processeur duron 1.3ghz) .A l'installation ,j'ai eu cette question:
install a boot block using the existing /etc/lilo.conf yes? j'ai repondu oui ,l'install c'est terminee mais quand j'ai fait un lilo -v ,j'ai vu que le /vmlinuz etait toujours le 2.4.18.J'ai donc recommencer l'installation cette fois a la question precedente j'ai repondu non ,et cree un autre /etc/lilo.conf,mais toujours pareil je reste en 2.4.18
Si quelqu'un pouvait m'expliquer simplement ce qu'il faut faire,car je n'ose pas trop
bricoler ,je redoute de tout planter.iI y a bien la doc mais en anglais je suis pas tres fort

Regarde si t as pas de message d'erreur avant de dire yes pour lilo, géneralement si ca ne marche pas c'est que le noyau est trop gros, la compilation à échouée ... un truc du genre ...

c'est un paquet avec un noyau deja compile et j'ai pas vu de message d'erreur apparemment

Bien alors j'ai trouve ce qu'il fallait faire.Dans /etc/lilo.conf j'ai modifie la ligne image=/vmlinuz par image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-1-386 et la ligne intrd=/boot/initrd.img-2.4.20-1-386 et ça marche je demarre sur le noyau 2.4.20,c'etait marqué dans le texte lors de l'installation ,j'avais pas vu
