J'essaierai ce que tu ma écris ce week-end,
Mon installation est ancienne ( sarge 1 mois avant qu'elle passe en stable ), et ça ma souvent joué des tours ( vieux fichiers de conf qui mette le souk ).
Je vais faire aussi du ménage dans mon xorg.conf ( j'ai deux sections extension je viens de m'en apercevoir ).
Quand au post dont tu parles, je l'ai lu et ça ne m'avais pas semblé être cela car j'ai bien xorg.conf 7.2 ( je met a jour presque tout les jours ) le .5 par contre je sais pas.

Il s'agit biensûr de la même machine et les deux install ont le meme xorg.conf et sont maintenu a jours en testing simultanément
Je suis au taf donc ne peux vérifier avec précision mon xorg.conf, mais j'utilise égalemnt le module xorg radeon (et pas le fglrx de'ATI) , de plus il ne me semble pas avoir ces lignes:
- Section extension : Option "RENDER" "Enable"
- Section Device : Option "RenderAccel" "true" ni
Option "AccelMethod" "XAA"
- Section Screen : Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True" --> existe déja dans te section Device
Option "DisableGLXRootClipping" "True"
- Section Server layout : Option "AIGLX" "true"
A noter qu'il y a eu un bug dernièrement suite a la mise a jour du paquet xlibrandr2 (dans une vesion supérieur au xorg en cours) qui donnait des soucis similaires au tiens.
La mise a jour vers xorg 7.2.5 (version de niveua equiv a la xlibrandr2) a remis les choses en ordre ( a voir ou tu en es de cette lib)

Chez moi j'ai le cube les fenêtre molles, enfin tout, sauf que l'intérieur des fenêtres ne se rafraichissent pas.
Par exemple j'ouvre un terminal, je tape mais rien ne s'affiche. aussi bien avec beryl ( paquet debian.beryl-project.org ) que compiz ( paquet debian ).
voilà si ça parle à quelqu'un, j'ai rien trouvé.
